Run Akron

We created a collaborative mural for the Akron Marathon race weekend and all of the runners were invited to participate and contribute to it’s creation. Allyse has been involved with the Akron marathon since it’s inception – you can learn more about it and what was planned in this interview with Spectrum News. Mac designed the mural to feature signature landmarks along this year’s marathon route in celebration of the Akron Bicentennial.

The mural was unveiled at the Akron Marathon VIP reception at the Civic Theatre, where Akron marathon sponsors and 2025 Marathon Ambassador Award recipient, Butch Reynolds, kicked off the creative collaboration by making their marks and coloring in the mural.

We then transported the collaborative mural to the Akron Marathon Health & Fitness Expo at the Knight Center in downtown Akron, where several thousand runners and their families and supporters continued to add their marks and bring this creative vision to life.
