BW Rogers Studio
The BW Rogers Building was home to Mac’s art studio from 2016-2017. He shared the ground floor space with Michael Marras, Courtney Cable, and Steve Levey – local artists who have gone to make significant contributions to Akron’s creative and cultural landscape. The building also served as a storage space for Rick Rogers’ art collection, and later became part of Curated Storefront’s downtown Akron displays.
The BW Rogers Studio was home to Mac’s creation of the Kaleidoscope Garden, King of Diamonds, Solstice, MusicALLY, and Lose Your Marble projects, as well as many others. In 2017, Mac moved his studio to the Law Building in downtown Akron. In 2018, The BW Rogers Building property was sold to Akron Children’s Hospital, and in 2019 it was levelled and turned into a parking lot.
