GEMS OF SUMMIT COUNTY
An interactive map of 31 diverse community landmarks.
In 2023, Art x Love was awarded a Destination Development grant from the Akron/Summit County Convention & Visitor’s Bureau to create an interactive map of public art for each of the region’s 31 cities, villages, and townships. We conducted advance research to identify potential landmarks in each community, and then visited more than 60 sites to geotag their location, take pictures, and learn more about them.
Art x Love produced the Gems of Summit County storymap to share our discoveries, invite exploration, and foster pride in the treasure of people, places, and stories that make Summit County such a special place to live and explore.
