Parks Unlimited Toolkit
Following the successful creation and launch of The Trust for Public Land’s (TPL) activity books for Cleveland (OH) and Buffalo (NY) in 2020, we were made aware that other TPL offices across the country were interested in using an activity book as a way to engage community members during the pandemic. To make this resource available to more people, we created the Parks Unlimited Toolkit so that TPL offices across the country could share and adapt our activity book pages to engage and benefit a wider audience.

The Parks Unlimited Toolkit was staged as a password-protected page on our website to allow TPL leaders free access to all Parks Unlimited resources that had been developed thus far, including a library of thousands of illustrations that had been specifically developed for TPL’s national Green Schoolyards program. Word spread, and by 2025 we had developed more than 50 customer-designed activity books for TPL communities across the country including Cleveland (OH), Boston (MA), Newark (NJ) Tacoma (WA), Los Angeles (CA), and Oakland (CA).
We are always looking for ways to help our clients expand their impact with equitable projects that are designed to endure. The Parks Unlimited Toolkit is an excellent example of how we proactively look to leverage efficiencies to provide outstanding returns on investment.
