Northside Outdoor Art Gallery

Mac’s King of Diamonds was selected as one of 10 artworks from more than 140 submissions for display at the Northside Outdoor Art Gallery, in Akron’s Cascade Valley neighborhood. The painting was printed on vinyl to withstand outdoor conditions, with the original painting remaining on display at Akron’s Diamond Deli.

Akron developer, Joel Testa, has spearheaded development of the Northside District and was awarded a Knight Arts Challenge grant to create the Northside Outdoor Art Gallery. This project included an additional video-projection art display that can be seen from inside the Marriott Hotel. The gallery serves as a welcome gateway to one of Akron’s most celebrated food, retail, and entertainment districts.
