JOANN, the fabric and crafts retailer headquartered in Hudson (OH), exited bankruptcy proceedings in April 2024 less than 40 days after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. With the incredible support of their lenders, creditors, industry partners, and more than 18,000 team members, JOANN was ready to chart a new path for the future.

Art x Love was engaged by Beyond Events to produce a 3-day collaborative mural experience that would rally JOANN’s employees, inspired by the phrase “Happiness Starts Here.” We developed a series of mural concepts for their team to review and select, and produced a collaborative mural experience dozens of JOANN employees participated in over the course of 2 days. Mac then brought the mural back to our studio, where we completed it for unveiling the next day at the conclusion of JOANN’s annual summit.
