Calling all Akron artists!

We are thrilled to announce that submissions are now being accepted for Akron on Deck III, the bicentennial Edition!

Individual artists and creative groups (music, theatre, dance, spoken word, poetry, film, etc.) can submit as many entries as they like at no charge, but only one may be featured per artist. As with the first two decks, suits will be organized by geographic region (North♣️, South♠️, East♥️, West♦️)

Akron on Deck III: Bicentennial Edition is different from past decks. This one is all about Akron history! Creative submissions should focus on historic people, places, events, and themes from Akron history.

The deadline for entries is Friday, March 29th, 2024. Selected artists will be notified in the weeks that follow and must submit a signed contract and W-9 within 30 days of notification to be included. The 54 selected artists (52 cards + 2 jokers) featured in Akron On Deck III will equally split the royalties from 40% of gross sales, paid annually.

To date, Akron on Deck has sold more than 11,000 decks of cards and raised more than $30,000 in profits for local retailers and more than $55,000 in royalties for local artists. Please spread the word and let others know about this exciting opportunity to support local artists and businesses!
