Umbrella Embellishments

For 30 years, Mac focussed on making one-of-a-kind paintings and avoiding mass producing his work as prints. That changed in 2023 after several friends and clients expressed an interest in having embellished prints of Mac’s work. The Umbrella Series is a popular favorite.

We recently sold the last of these prints to a client from Goodyear, and put together the enclosed video to show how much Mac puts into each embellished print “to capture the essence of the original.” As Mac says, “returning to this painting after all this time offers a lot of perspective and learning. I tend to find the embellished prints to have a different focus and clarity than the original. It’s good to be able to come back and still find that in these paintings.”
