Holographic Flowers

In 2022, Mac was privately commissioned to paint a series of holographic flowers for a home in Bath, Ohio. Mac started painting 20 different flower compositions of varying size, shape, and color ranging from 2” x 3” to 4” x 4”. Each one began as a holographic paper collage, and then was tinted with ink, and finished with acrylic paint. The client selected their three favorite to frame as a tryptic, and the remaining holographic flowers were sold at summer art fairs and donated to local charity fundraisers.

This project proved to be both a fun exploration of the medium, and an exercise in creative production. Mac continues to accept private commissions or holographic flowers with focus on larger budgets and at sizes that afford more realism.
